Michelle Kolodziejczyk is the owner of Shelly Creates It. She grew up in a small town in the Texas hill country and was able to learn various hobbies and crafts with her family. The skills and techniques she learned growing up, gave her an appreciation of the hard work that goes into handmade items. “Shelly,” as her close friends and family call her, was able to create handmade cards, hand sewn accessories, woodworked creations, leather worked materials, crocheted items or needle crafted gifts.

Shelly currently handcrafts all the items for her home business. While creating merchandise, she takes the time to pray and think over the individual that the items may be delivered to. It’s always the thought that counts, right?

Shelly has spent over a decade using Adobe products, beginning as yearbook editor in high school, moving to her own side photography business in college, and lastly, applying her vast knowledge of skills to t-shirt and digital design.

In 2016, Shelly wanted to create screen printed coasters for her wedding guests. In combination with making most of the wedding decorations and her dress, Shelly was unable to learn and fine tune the craft of screen printing in a short time period. Sadly, screen printing was put on hold until after the wedding. Still passionate and determined to learn such an interesting craft and science, she picked it up again in 2017. That spring, she created a tri-color print for her sisters’ annual crawfish boil. Using a single platen, her newly-wed husband made, a makeshift screen burning setup(2nd picture on the left), countless hours of research and many, many, mistakes, Shelly created her first order of tees!

From 2017-2018, Shelly fine tuned her screen-printing skills. She has spent countless hours of research, and trial and error to create shirts she would wear. She also created shirts for her special education team members at work. In 2019, Shelly launched her online e-commerce store via Shopify. Using a combination of in-person marketing and sales, word of mouth, online marketing and social media, Shelly has had the opportunity to create live shirts at vending events, and fulfill orders for school staff, sporting teams, family events and more!

In this course, you will get nearly 4 years of information, resources, ideas, tips and tricks to help you launch your screen-printing hobby or business from the comfort of your home! Good luck, and share your success by using the tag: #sciscreenprintclass
